In Bloom Mittens
Do you sometimes have that feeling that nothing in your wardrobe belongs together? I have loads of shawls and even more mittens, but none of them seem to match. How weird! So I decided to design fingerless mittens matching the In Bloom Shawl. And here they are.
Since I can’t decide if i like them better with or without thumbs, I wrote down instructions for both and let you choose. I think it works very well with yarns with longer colour changes like Schoppel-Wolle Zauberball or similar (these are made from Zauberball Blasser Schimmer), but it is also nice with solid colours.

These cute fingerless mittens with a romantic lace and scallop edge are a great addition to your wardrobe, matching the “In Bloom shawl” pattern.
This pattern gives instructions for mittens with or without thumb. All you need to know is how to do knits and purls, yarn overs and simple increases and decreases.
Yarn: Fingering weight. I used Schoppelwolle Zauberball yarn.
Needles: 5dpns or one cable needle, if you prefer (pattern is written for dpns), size as indicated on the yarn. I used 2.5mm needles
My test knitter Binle used Etwas Sockenwolle Etwas Winter yarn and SiNessi knit her pink ones in Schibot Garne Silver Glitter Bots.
Aren’t they both lovely like crazy??
