Get ready for a new KAL! Chase the Dragon mitts and socks
A few days back I received this package full of lovely yummy glitz-yarn from Hearthside Fibers to brighten up my days considerably! It’s still freezing around here and a bit grey and spring is still far away, so I keep busy knitting my fingers fuzzy and hope for better weather. Just the perfect moment to grab the needles and make something with a sparkle!

I’m almost ready to publish my newest two patterns! The Chase the Dragon socks and matching fingerless mittens! (to be released the 1st of MARCH 2017!). I’m so excited about these two that I can barely wait to click the publish-button 🙂 The pattern reminds me of dragon scales, so the colours and sparkle really fits the pattern perfectly, I think.
And then I thought, why knit them alone, when you can have others join you? It’ll be much more fun! Did you like my first KAL? You’ll hopefully like this one, too! I’ve been working on these two new patterns a while now. My test knitters were crazy about them already and made the loveliest mitts and socks from them! I’ll show you in a moment 🙂
So how about you join my KAL from March 1st to April 30 2017 in my Ravelry group? I am about to release the patterns on MARCH 1st and will be hosting a KAL in which we’ll knit socks and mittens together, you can either knit socks or mittens or both, as you like! There will be prizes to win, too 🙂 Keep an eye open for more info soon!
If you’re a newsletter subscriber, you can also get the patterns at a discount. I’ll mail out a coupon code on the release date, march 1st, together with the pattern release note, so make sure to sign up before that! 🙂 (top right corner).
Here is a sneak peek of what we’ll knit:

These Chase the Dragon mitts and socks are made from Hearthside Fibers newest member of their yarn family: Galaxy. A neatly spun soft merino with a hint of lurex for that perfect bit of glitz. It’s an excellent material that I really like working with as it’s very soft, even though the thread is extremely tightly twisted, which creates an incredible stitch definition! These socks and mittens knit up in no time (it might also be due to the fact that I couldn’t decide which colourway to start with and was excited to start using the next one, too :P)
I just came back from the photo shoot with my friend Julia. I guess she had fun as well 🙂

So I’ll be off to knit some more and work on the publication while I leave you here to drool over my test knitter’s lovely pieces of art! (or you could go stash diving for the perfect yarn to join us in March 🙂
