Ooops I dyed it again…
Finally, my refill for the dye pot arrived this week and I couldn’t keep my fingers off it. I was almost out of stock. Seriously. Can you believe it??
A lovely lady from Italy contacted me and wanted some Mumpitz sock glitter in the colourway Nebula. Her aim is to knit the Southern Skies shawl by Audry Nicklin. I can’t wait to see it when it’s done! What a mesmerizing pattern!! It is a knit chart of the stars of the southern hemisphere. Chapeau!!

Here is her finished shawl!!

Since the Mumpitz Sock Glitter yarns sold out so quickly I had to order more of this lovely yarn base. I like that it is not overly glitzy but has a very decent sparkle that pushes the colours even more. It’s 71% Merino / 24% Polyamide / 5% Polyester superwash fingering yarn (400m/100grams) and knits up beautifully with 2.5mm-3.5mm needles.

I was excited to see that it even comes with a golden glitz. I’ll need to find the right colour combination for this one soon!

Usually when I’m in the dye-mood I dye not more skeins than would fit on my drying rack, so this time I dyed five lovely skeins, two glitzy ones and three sock weight yarns without glitz.

Here are my glitz yarns. I just love to see them sparkle and am madly in love with the new Ruby Tuesday colourway! I guess I’ll have to come up with a matching pattern idea soon 🙂

These are two yarns I dyed earlier this month, squishalicious pure Merino yarn in the colourways Shaken, Not Stirred, and Splash of Colours. Which is your favourite?

Aaaaaand the sock yarns wound into skeins. I could look at them all day!

Now I really need to put them away or I’ll start another project right now… Argh!
Happy knitting!!
