Winter is here, time to KNIT!

Winter is here, time to KNIT!

The first real snow arrived in Stockholm tonight. It has been silently bucketing down and it is still doing so. A real winter wonderland! All is wrapped in silence and covered in a thick white blanket. Time to get out the teapot and the knitting (Not that it ever really needed taking out, really)! Even Travel Turtle doesn’t mind being stuck at home for now and is happily exploring the snow.

Tonight the annual Indie Design Gift-Along will start and I can barely wait to look through all the inspiring patterns to choose from at 25% off!! (use the code giftalong2017 at checkout), so I had to clear my needles and re-organise my stash a little so that I can find everything I need and cast on as soon as I decided what to make 🙂 As is that process alone wouldn’t take ages… Oh dear.

This pair of Polar Bear Mittens cleared my needles today and is now getting acquainted with the Swedish winter weather.

My stash (well, you know how it is!! Do I actually need to explain?) keeps stubbornly refusing to vacate only one single drawer, so I guess I have to keep knitting from stash for a while. I’ll be looking for patterns that will work with the yarns I have. I can’t wait!

Luckily I still have a big box full of undyed yarns that I can turn into something like this when needed (or if the craze hits me again)

Only a few hours until the pattern bundles will get released! Yay!! I’ll keep busy interviewing designers that also are participating in the Gift Along and will present the outcome to you here during the course of the GAL! I’m sure there will be many lovely talented people out there who deserve being looked up!

Happy knitting!
