Getting down to business – cast on frenzy
The list of things to do in 2018 is set. Now I just need to cast on and knit as much as I can!
Last Wednesday’s project is finished and it’s time to move on in the de-stashing-frenzy:

3 projects are up simultaneously:
1: My everyday-easy-to-knit pair of commuter mittens or socks (you’ve got to have some variation, right?) which will use up my beautiful stash of non-Sockables Schoppel Zauberball collection (This is only 1/10th of it, don’t worry :P)

Second off is my newest pattern, which is currently in testing (and I just need to knit one more, it’s so much fun :P). I’ll release the pattern once all my testers are satisfied. So stay tuned for another Mumpitz Design toy 🙂

And the 3rd project is something that I have had my eyes on for a long time now: Andrée Beddoe’s beautiful designs! (Read my interview with Andrée here) I finally managed to cast on my first of three all time favourites: The Dianthus Shawl. This will tick a few new techniques off my list that needed learning.

I’m using yarn that has been patiently waiting for the right project to come along and which now found it’s perfect purpose. Lovely gradient glitzy yarn from Bilum, which I purchased at the Wollfest Hamburg two years ago. (Read about Crafters gone crazy at Wollfest Hamburg here). Together with my own yarns (Mumpitz Sock Glitter in Golden Sunset and Mumpitz Bamboo in Berry) this will really pop! I’m already seeing beautiful flowers sprout from a deep blue sea of glitzy wonder!
This year I finally got new interchangeable needles and I already love them a lot! Knit Picks Caspian in beautiful greens. What else do I need for a perfect day on the sofa with sumptuous yarn, needles and time to knit? Well… tea maybe 🙂

I’ll be back soon with news of my new pattern, so stay tuned!
Happy knitting!
