Description
This beautiful shawl is a quick knit and works especially great for showing off yarns with long colour changes. You can knit it in any yarn quality and change its size as you like. There are two options given for the scalloped edge, one for smaller and one for bigger scallops. Photo tutorial included. You can knit this shawl with the matching In Bloom fingerless mittens and In Bloom Socks
You will need following techniques to knit this shawl:
- Knits and purls,
- yarn overs and
- simple decreases.
Both charts and written instructions plus photo tutorial are given.
Sizes vary depending on which yarn quality you use. My shawls are made from Mineville Wool Projekt yarn (#3103 DK) needles 4mm -160cm/63inches broad and Kauni Artistic yarn (fingering) needles 3mm – 172cm/68inches broad.
What you need:
- Your favourite yarn in any quality you like. Works best with fingering (around 200 yards) or DK (around 500-600 yards)
- A cable needle in an appropriate size (I used 3mm for fingering, 4mm for DK)
- Tapestry needle to weave in ends
