Description

Give your scraps the happy ending they deserve! These pretty and happy top-down socks are the perfect home for your beloved leftover yarns and make for a real eye catcher. They are a fabulously easy knit yet look better than a plain vanilla sock.

The socks are knit in the round with blocks of colours joined by a beautiful round of simple, yet fancy contrasting stitches.

This pattern is suitable for beginners and advanced knitters alike and can be made in all sizes. Examples for kids and adult sizes are given.

Techniques used are:

  • knit in the round
  • simple increases and decreases (left and right leaning)

A detailed description and photo tutorial for the contrast round is included i this pattern.

These socks are the ideal partner for the Scrappily Ever After Mitts! 🙂

Yarn:
Approx. 100g of different sock weight scrap yarns (about 5g 400m/100g per colour block) depending on knitted size.
I used Mumpitz Design and Opal sock yarns (400m/100g) for my socks.
Needles:
5 double pointed needles not larger than 3mm (I use 2,5mm needles).

Please tag your finished items on Instagram @MumpitzDesign so I can see them <3
